Planning a trip to Florida in mid-February. Currently have plans to play in Orlando two days on my way out. Playing Eagle Creek the morning I fly out but would like to play somewhere on a twilight the day before. Looking for 7,000 yds plus course in good shape especially the greens. Suggestions?

the international course at champions gate is an awesome course, much better than eagle creek, also if you could play reunion those courses have always been good

I think ChampinosGate International is way over-rated. The guys who work there think it's over-rated compared to the National. The guys in the pro shop prefer to play the National. It's a boring plain course IMO. I liked both course at Orange County National, ChampionsGate National, and Magnolia, Orange Lake, and Eagles Pines were ok. I love Mystic Dunes but many believe it to be an acquired taste. Southern Dunes maybe my favorite course in the area. I want to try the Ginn course on my next trip. The bermuda rough at Hawk's Landing is ridiculous.

the resort courses are nice. Panther Lake at OCN is great. but if you don't mind driving, do check out Southern Dunes...or Victoria Hills (my favorite in the area) about an hour north on I4.

Thanks for the feedback
I originally wanted to catch a twilight at Southern Dunes on 2/23 in the afternoon but I am just a single and they wouldn't put me down by myself. Anybody out there want to play on the 23rd?

I was out in October and i would definitely reccommend palying Celebration or Grande Pines. Celebration was the better out of the two and the greens were superb, it is one of the best course i have played

Celebration is a great course. I would recommend it for sure. Metro West is another solid course I would look at. Always good greens at both of those places.
