My driving isn't as bad as it looks. It seems like a lot of times I over drive the fairway. My putts are a different story my putting skills need to be tuned up.

Now I was wondering if i could possibly get a scholarship for college with these stats?
If any other suggestions feel free to say.

Thanks,

I'd say those stats are not bad. Definitely get that putting average down and the fairway average up and I think you'll be on your way. Scholarships are hard to come by. I have a very good friend that attended Coastal Carolina and while he didn't have a scholarship, he was a 2 or 3 handicap player. He went to one of their practices and came away shaking his head. He told me that a 2 or 3 handicap player probably won't make the team. But keep up the hard work and don't give up!

The only thing that matters to college coaches are tournaments. Just telling a college coach that you average 76 and change isn't going to get you anywhere. You need to play well in tournaments and build a resume to send coaches. That's how you get recruited, or garner attention when you contact coaches on your own.

That said, the stats aren't bad. Iron play seems to be your strength. Play smarter off the tee to give yourself more opportunities to attack the flag. By increasing your fairways hit, you'll allow yourself to use the stronger part of your game more effectively. Then by hitting it closer more often, you'll pretty much guarantee a fewer number of putts. So really just playing smarter will drop your scores without actually having to practice anything. Then, use more of your practice time on chipping and putting. You can ALWAYS practice more short game. Work on the basics, straight forward chips. The difference for pros on putting from 6 feet and 3 feet is astounding. Get your chips closer, lower your scores. Simple.

Best of luck bud.

Improve your putting. My college coach used to put it to us this way: hit 12 greens in reg, get 1/2 of the ones u miss up and down, and dont hit it into a hazard or ob and you shoot 75 (or 3 over depending on the par), that is without making a birdie and no 3 putts. That would be 3 over with 33 putts which is not a good putting round. Hit more greens and have fewer putts. Overall though, not bad stats, just keep working.
