seen pat perez on tv yesterday and it got me thinking, i remember that he was a hothead and very very unfriendly. i played with several pros in pro ams and only remember 1 player being a real jerk throwing clubs, swearing etc., any of you got stories past or present about bad pros? thanks in advance pat

at the 2008 British open at birkdale, i went on one of the practise rounds and i remeber being stood inbetween the 8th green and 9th tee with loadsa of people, every pro went past us as signed autographs then Angel Cabrera came along and just walzed through and said "i Had Enough Autograph's Already" everyone was well annoyed and his partner that day was Andres Romero and he nicely enough stopped and signed everbodies programme, and also he hit the biggest drive on the 8th, was around 400yards downwind, it was amasing

I have not played with any touring pros, but attended practice rounds at the open at Oakmont and the past two WGC at Firestone and by far the most unfriendly pro was Tiger.

Chris Dimarco used to be a real jerk. Him and Dudley Hart were unfathomably bad. I remember DiMarco having a bad round at the BC Open and then going on the range and hitting some shots with the Callaway driver, telling the Callaway rep "this club sucks" and snapping it over his knee and telling the Callaway rep to get him a new club. Hart would throw clubs left and right and yell at his caddy all over the course. Dimarco seems to really have changed his attitude lately. Don't know about Hart. I've played mini-tours and had some stories with some golfers' tempers and attitudes, but they are pretty much no names.

Of all the threads that pop up about once a year on GolfWRX, this one is the most annoying. If you're interested in trashing a playing professional for not giving you attention or a handshake or an autograph (typically during or following a bad round), many of us don't want to hear it.

BTW, I've talked to Perez a few times, he's more than friendly.
