Every morning on my way to work, I hit the satellite radio for Making the Turn... that is, until this year and now it's 'Playing Thru' with Michael Collins and TJ.

I really liked Making the Turn. Kessler (although long-winded) had great guests and an enjoyable show.

Playing Thru is trying to be something, but I dunno what yet. It's not very funny, and seems to miss the mark.

Anyone know if or when Making the Turn is coming back?

Better yet, does anyone besides me even care?

Making the turn is on Saturday Mornings from 6:30-7:30am. I used to listen to it, but Peter Kessler was putting me to sleep

I have heard nothing that he has been moved. PGATour.com still has Making the Turn listed as M-F mornings. When the season ended last year he said the show would return next year...plans may have changed, but nothing has been announced...not that I've heard.

He takes a break over the silly season, and probably won't start until next week, given that the California swing started this week.

Playing Thru is OK, but I would not listen to it as often as I'd listen to Making the Turn. I like the personalities fine, but it's heading in the direction of a golf-friendly sports talk radio show. There's plenty of sports talk radio in every market, some better than others. If I wanted that, I would not have bothered with XM radio (I listen to XM for other things too, but sports talk radio is not the reason I love Sat radio).

That said, Kessler should probably start doing more interviews with people who are not his usual commentators. He had a pretty fixed rotation last year, and sometimes I wanted to hear from some other people.

I like the show. I'm a golf history fan, I like design, I like a lot of the stuff they talk about.

If I wanted to be excited, I'd take the freeway to work.
