I thought it was amazing, in an interview after the round Tiger said that no one in the group had an umbrella. I know he is a little brash at times, but I think he is the right man for the job, and obviously a good loop with the people he has caddied for.

Well i work out of a toolbox and thats like me not not having my box with me.

Actually it's more like having screws becuase you were told nails wouldn't be necessary that day.

Thats just an excuse.

He should ALWAYS have the umbrella just in case!!

exactly i mean there is a space for the umbrella in pretty much every golf bag...i know my umbrella is in my bag the whole year, whether i need it or not....doesn't make any sense to have it sometimes and not others...everyone i know carries one with them at all times as well...is it that heavy that steve needs to carry it only sometimes? i was shocked to hear that the whole grp. did not have one...it should be part of the bag like the clubs and balls!

I am sure if Tiger thought Steve wasn't doing the job properly he would tell him! From what I have seen Tiger isn't afraid to lay down the law. I am sure Steve is one of the best out there.

This is the same caddy that almost let Tiger run out of golf balls during a round of the US Open at Pebble

Yea I saw that. Tiger was down to his last ball on 18 after splashing the last one into the water. Good thing the second one found the fairway. rolleyes.gif crazy.gif

For the record that ALMOST happened because Tiger took balls out of his bag the night before to putt in his room and forgot to put them back in the bag. They also were only playing 6 holes as the second round was delayed because of fog.

For the record, I counted everything before a tournament when I caddied as a lad; US open - Father/Son fall classic...it's called a job.

Question: How many majors would Tiger have if Fluff had stayed on the bag?

Tiger could win a major with you or I on the bag. My opinion Fluff isn't in the same league with Steve. I say this because just look what Fluff did when he had the bag, he went nuts, commercials, promotions, etc. I'm sure it was for the money, but I wonder if he ever regrets it because we all know he would have made more money just carrying the bag. I also think Tiger needs more of an agressive caddie with all of the stuff he has to deal with, just my .02

Needs a more aggressive caddy? Ask the guy that lost the $2000 camera if Steve needs to be more aggressive. He's the most aggressive caddy on Tour. He has to be because Tiger is the most sought after player out there. Simp

I meant more aggressive than Fluff, which is why I think Steve is a good fit for Tiger. More aggressive than Steve would be a NFL lineman on the juice.

I think Stevie feels that he is not only a caddie but a body guard and he gets away with more than he should. Had some of the other caddies on tour did what he did in the past they would be long gone. There's plenty of security Stevie, stick with carrying bags and wrecking race cars.
