I was just looking through the 2008 PGA Tour money list and I was shocked by a few things

#1 David Duval played terrible this year WOW he finished 219th on the list with $114,085 in 20 Tourney's, just a bit of perspective, this meant that on avg he made $5,704.25 per Tourney he played in, Tiger Woods onthe other hand played in 6 Tourney's making $5,775,000 so with a scoring avg of 68.9 that means he made aprox $3,487.31 every time he swung his club!!! hahaha goes to show how a player like Duval's game can go to hell, he was top of the heap at the turn of the century. Also Tommy Gainey (Big Break Graduate) played in 24 Tourney's and finished 148th with over $500,000 in earnings.

#2 A player can make $840,000 plus and still not a have a place on tour next season 126th made over that this year.

Just goes to show that even though guys have to go back to Q school doesn't mean they didn't make any money.

Also goes to show that Tiger Woods is unreal 6 Tourney's and over $5.5 million!!

Just think, Gainey made $496,800 in the last tournament of the year. Quite a leap from the $65,405 he made in the other 23 tournaments he played in.

Shane Bertsch (126th) who finished outside the top 125 players on the money list who remain exempt for the 2009 PGA Tour.

I didn't realise Gainey made a big haul on his last tourney, good for him.
