I'm looking for a great dual purpose bag for my father for Christmas. He walks 50% of the time and rides the other 50%. Looking for a dual purpose light weight stand bag / cart bag. Looking for something easy to tie onto the cart and stay in place. Your feedback appreciated!!!

My choices would be the Sun Mountain Four 5 bag. A stand bag with 14 club dividers, great for carts. It only weighs 4.5 lbs so works well as a carry bag.

The second choice would be the Callaway Warbird Hot stand bag. Organization is good and has a seperate putter space. I have this one and use it on the cart quite often.

I completely agree with both suggestions above. I'm more partial to the Warbird though.

Another suggestion would be the Sun Mountain MPB crossover. It's larger than the other 2 but is still a good carry bag.

I was looking for a similar bag last year and got a Ogio Grom. Great bag!

I have to say, the Nike Sasquatch Tour is an awesome hybrid bag. Straps detach and it has leg holders for cart use, 14-way divider, great pockets, real comfy straps (air in them).

I like it so much I bought a second one to have for my travel/backup bag. Highly recommended! The only drawback is it's probably not the lightest out there, but it isn't particularly heavy either. Good luck.

The best overall "hybrid" bag I have used is the Ogio Edge, but it may be a little heavy for some as a walking bag at 6.5 lbs. I use it for both and really like it. It has a torque strap that locks in place on a cart and holds it tight, unlike a lot of other stand bags. The Ogio Grom is another good choice and a little lighter at 5.8 lbs.

OGIO has a great new bag, it was reviewed at www.thehackersparadise.com just yesterday. Beautiful bag. I wish I had seen theis review a week ago because I just bought a new bag! Grrrr.
