I leave tonight for my eighth trip to Thailand. Having played many of the courses in the Bangkok area and in both Phuket and Chaing Mai, I am collecting impressions and recommendations on courses in Thailand and possible trips elsewhere in SE Asia. I have also played 3 or 4 courses in Bali. For example, how is golf in Vietnam? Never played in Malaysia...any thoughts about Malaysia as a golf destination? blind.gif

You could always try Kota Permai, Saujana or Palm Garden in Malaysia. Pretty well maintained courses IMO, bear in mind its been raining nearly everyday.

I have a few in mind. The 2 course that I highly recommend are Alpine and Amata Spring. Especially the later as it'll host The Royal Trophy which is a "Ryder cup" version of Europe vs Asia. However, both course are private. But I have played both courses before without company of a member. Another one that you should try is Siam Contry Club the old course. This one is about 2 hours drive from Bangkok, I think it host Honda LPGA last year. Amata and Apline is about an hour drive from Bangkok. I'm sure there are a few other courses that you should try, but I'll let someone else do the sharing.
