I heard last night from a Datrek Rep that friday they are done. The reps get 2 weeks severence pay and they are done.

Sad. Gotta feel for the folks that work there.

Not always viewed as a premium brand but a company that pushed others to be innovative and price competitive.

Did they produce bags for any of the OEMs?

A whole bunch of Datrek folks got the boot when they were purchased by Miller (or Forefront, whatever) who made it clear they were going to push and grow the Burton bag brand and didn't seem to care much about the Datrek brand.

I'm not surprised they're killing the brand.

We worked with some fantastic Datrek people and they were treated horribly when Datrek was sold.

That's too bad. I agree with ZbigStick - I think they were pretty innovative and pushed some good features like 14 full length dividers with their IDS system. Still carry my 3-yr old Datrek stand bag.

Reps are done,unfortunately, but the company probably is not.

A sad, sign of the times.
