The last two drivers in my bag have sustained scratches in the same exact place upon the shaft about 24" up from the butt end. I noticed that the scratches have become worse so I took everything out of my bag to investigate. There are two lower back pads on the bag and the lower one rubs the shaft causing the scratches. I have pics that I will post later. I am going to call Sun Mountain but was wondering in there are any other 3.5 walkers with the same issue?

I have the MPB bag and have a similar problem -it happens about 4-7 inches down from the top of bag.

What hole/slot do you put your driver into? I just got a 3.5 this afternoon and Id like to avoid the scratches if possible...

Never had an issue, used the bag for almost 3 years.

I put the driver into the top left corner. As I am walking the lower back pads press against my back which causes in the inside of the bag to rub against the driver shaft, causing the scratching. The picture here is very poor. I need to take some in the daylight.

I think the new 09 model has a redesigned back pad. Perhaps this won't be an issue with the new design.
