The title pretty much says it. I've never had good rain gear and I'm curious if when carrying a bag does the shoulder strap cause/allow rain/moisture to come through the shoulder of the rain suit?

I don't EVER walk when I play so I couldn't tell about the strap. I have noticed that the shoulders is a problem area for footjoy rain jackets. I've seen several of my buddies wearing them in the rain and their shoulders all looked like the water was soaking into the jacket. I have one myself, but it is still pretty new, so no problems yet, but I haven't been in much more than a hard sprinkle or very light rain while wearing it. My buddies all have said that the footjoy jacket repelled rain really well for about the first year. Then after that it....not so well. I also have a Sunice rain jacket. It has gortex on it and I've worn it in heavy rain. NOTHING gets through it.
