Ha! Just proves how much cash has ruined most sports these days! I'm quite sure he's not the only one, so really singling him out as a p rick is a little harsh. Afterall, you would not want me to call you a ****.

he is a spoiled brat... BUT he is the firts i know of to withdraw over a missing club. So yes, he should be singled out IMHO.

On the positive side it gave India's Anirban Lahiri a chance to play. I'll bet he appreciates his spot in the tournament more than Poulter did.

Why is everyone such a Poulter hater? If Ian played and messed up because of the driver he would loose big world ranking points and he doesnt need that... Better to take a week off instead of messing up and play well the next week... Hes just as disapointed as everyone else would be...
I am a bit suspicous though, dont see how Cobra couldnt get a Grafalloy Blue shaft and a pro speed head together in 2 days... not exactly tour only 1 of 1 stuff there...
Let his golf do the talking like he did at the Ryder cup, didnt see anyone shouting negative comments then...

I wouldn't necessarily call him spoiled - the guy has grafted to get where he is.
He turned pro off a handicap of 4, didn't go through the rich college boy conveyer belt.
He is a bit flash for some tastes, but he showed he has the game to back it up at the Ryder Cup, with all the added pressure of being the chosen one.
Am sure there are worse out there!!
