He kept his head and fought back after being the victim of a tough rule. I am very happy for him. Seems like a genuinely good guy...

Met him Saturday at the tournament, spoke for a minute and signed my hat. What a nice guy, wished him luck on Sunday...and he was very very appreciative. I'll be rooting him on from now on!

Congrats to Ryan, I work with his old coach now and he mentioned him in his interview afterwards. Good to see him pull through all of his troubles from the last couple years.

Hey Cowtown....nice course you play out of!!
Ryan and his caddy James (club champ at your track!) are two of the very best guys on Tour and all the nice comments you guys are giving him are well deserved!
Ryan is a "go for it" kind of player and it almost cost him, but in the end, his aggressiveness paid off beating a whole whack of players down the stretch, who couldn't make a birdie!
Look for big things from your boy next season....all he needed was confidence....and I think he found it!
Always nice to see one of the "good guys" win!

In the third round I am sitting by 18th green looking back at ryan in the fairway. I am saying to my buddy is that a driver? The sun was reflecting off the clubhead and you could clearly see it was a driver. Man the guy has guts! But guess what he wanted to win the tournament bad, and maybe that decision wasn't the best, but he sure did make up for it with his play on Sunday.

I have known James, his caddy, for most of his life (I'm a bit older) and consider both he and Ryan friends. They are both truly good guys and I don't think you can find two better people on, or off, the golf course.
Ryan has had some struggles the last couple of years, but has really played very well this season, when given the chance. He just needed a break and finally found his stride this week.
I couldn't be happier that he won and just had to start this thread as I feel we'll hear a good bit more out of him in the coming years. I just wanted to make sure his name got out there since not as many people watch golf this time of year.
He's won before at Disney and I'd love nothing more than to see him parlay last week into further success this week.

Seems like a really good guy. Guys a millionare (sort of) and has his two year exemption. Can't beat that when you were just fighting for a card for next year.

Back when he played on the Adam's Tight Lies Tour (don't even know if it the tour still exists) he won a tournament at my home course of Treasure Hills in South Texas. I didn't get a chance to see him play that year, but they said he had a future. I guess they were right.
By the way, Bubba Watson also played in the tournament and I remember the guys at the club talking about how long he was. I didn't believe them, but I do now.
It's good to see guys move up through the mini-tours and win on the big stage. That's the thing about golf, if you've got the game, you can make it to the big time. Nobody needs to draft you, pass you the ball, etc.
Way to go Palmer. Good luck in Disney!

I was at Royal Oaks with Randy on sunday while Ryan was playing and he was eagerly checking his palm pilot every few minutes getting updates.
Great win and congrats to both player and coach.

I remember how jealous I was when you were telling me you got to play with him and Tag that day. Way to go Ryan!
