Okay, let's not start w/ the head jokes as I've heard them all and we're adults here...Let me know which one works for you other big headed folk!

I also have a healthy melon. I have tried a lot of Oakley's because my parents business sells them. The Gascan and Spike fit very well. I don't think they make the Spike anymore but you can still find them. Or you can go 1992 and get some M Frames.

+1 on the Gascan. I have a thin face, and I can't wear the Gascan small. I wear a size 7 1/2" hat.

Gascan's are relatively narrow. Wont fit you at all. Gascan Small has more beveled temples and can actually fit a more wide head than regular Gascan which has more straight temples. The lens is smaller as well as the height of the temple, the frame is actually wider.
Hyjinx is the widest nylon frame that Oakley makes.
New
Inmate can be adjusted to fit a bowling ball as it is make of metal and can be tweaked
Nano 3.0 can be adjusted very wide as well at the front part of the frame at the temple.
Icepick can fit a pretty wide head as well.
Monsterdog is quite wide as well.
New
Straight Jacket might work, but only if you have a relatively round head.

I have a fairly big head and pretty round, I wear half jackets and they fit great. Am looking at gascans which when i've tried them on fit really well for me also. I wear XL fitted hats, I dont know of the number size of them though.

Fellow melon-head here, and I've unfortunately never found a pair of Oakleys that I can wear without excessive pressure just above my ears from the glasses. That is an express one-way ticket to a mid-round headache, and is not good for anyone.
Now Maui Jim on the other hand, there are at least a dozen frames that fit my big round head no sweat. IIRC my Maui's are the "Hurricane" model but I'd have to check.
Good luck, and let it be known that a big melon is a sign of great intelligence.

I also wear size 8. Alot of these glasses people recommed will fit but IMO just make me look goofy. Most of them either have big frames or big lens which makes my head even that much bigger. I wear the Oakley Whiskers, which are thin and small and look a ton better on my big head. Try them out

I agree on Maui Jim's - see the titanium-framed KA'ANAPALI model - flexible frame and a fairly large lens. On their website, they list size specs so you can find a better fit. I also think that their Typhoon model is for larger melons too.

I've got a big dome, not as big as the a fore mentioned ones, but I wear a 7 3/4 hat, and I love my gas cans. I got them in the asian fit (because I am asian) and I think they fit well. They are a little wider and more overall square.
However, these work out for me and I love the style. But that's just me.
If you are willing to drive out to california, I'll let you try them on!
Maybe you should try the oil drums, a little more stylish than the others, but might be worth it.

Thanks guys! I like the way the black gascans look, and there's a new one that kind of looks like the gascan, but i forgot their name. Hey Bounce: Where do you get the Asian Spes?

I ordered mine from Oakley. I don't think they carry them in the stores (to the best of my knowledge). Here is the link.
http://oakley.com/pd/4276. There's a link to describe the "Asian Fit" on there too.
