I was looking at that bag, I like the individual dividers. Sun Mountain appears to have adopted the Titleist strap system which is a good move on their part.

Titleist has the Sun Mountain strap system. smile.gif

This new bag looks great....I just put one on order.- THANK YOU!

Thanks for posting this. I have a Ping cart bag that gets really heavy, and I hate how the clubs get all crunched together in my Ogio carry bag. (I also saw a Nike stand bag with 14 way dividers on TGW).

I will look for this Sun Mountain bag online now.

I just got mine today. I ordered last week from Golfsmith when they had the 20% off promo. I ordered the cadet blue/black. The blue looks a little more like navy blue and the legs are the red-orange color not blue..

Overall it is a great bag. Resembles the 3.5 a little but has more pockets and the 14-way divider is awesome.

It doesn't fit very well in my clicgear but I have a Sun Mountain SCB Deluxe for that. This bag is intended for going to the range, travel or a quick walk.

The straps are very comfortable and I really like the "Titleist" strap (even though the Titleist bags are made by Sun Mountain, they featured this kind of strap first).

The bag has 7 pockets, pen holder, matching rain hood, etc.

This looks great, I have been looking at the MPBbag for few years. Can anyone compare the two?
I might look for the MPB on close out since this is out.
golf_fanatik
The MPB is much heavier than the Four 5. It is actually a little heavier than my other bag (SCB Deluxe).

I think the MPB has the advantages of the leg zip-off thing, the external putter well (not a big deal IMO), and that it sits a little better on push carts. I'm sure the MPB has some other features that I'm missing (cooler pocker maybe?)

The Four 5 is very light and has a very reasonable number of pockets. It doesn't sit very well on a clicgear but the straps are very comfortable.

I was debating between the Four 5 and the Sasquatch Tour.

By the way, Sun Mountain is not retiring the MPB, there is actually a 2009 model out but you may be able to find the 2008 at a close out price.

I got this exact bag at Golfsmith today. I used a 15% off internet coupon. (I got a bag and my husband bought the itsy bitsy Spider).
I took some pics of my new bag when I got home. I love how light it is, but it has the 14 way divider. This color is really nice. Especially since I am a Gator.

WOW! Ive always been a hoofer man myself and am considering an '09 vantage once I see some of the new colorways in person, but that is sharp looking! Now, does four 5 signify the weight of it, if not how much does the bag itself weigh?? thanks

They say it weighs 4.5 lbs. Maybe that is why they names it four 5. I took a couple more pics from different angles, if you want I can post them.

Ok so I was finally able to give this bag a good test this weekend walking 18 yesterday at bethpage black and today on my home course and all I can say is this is easily the best stand bag on the market today and I have looked at all of them in my quest to find a new bag. I have used Mizuno aerolites for the past 2 seasons and loved how light they felt and the straps were great but this bag not only feels as light or even lighter but the straps are actually more comfortable. The only thing that would make this the holy grail of stand bags would be if the large drink pocket was insulated but it doesn't change the fact that Sun Mountain has a real winner here. drinks.gif

Those are perfect colors for a Gator..if that blue faded a bit it could ..
it could a Caines bag rolleyes.gif

Any updated feedback on the four 5? I'm thinking of getting one and was wondering if the slots are big enough or is anyone having clubs get stuck. Also does this bag have a putter well like the Titleist premium stand bag (it is made by sun mountain)?

No putter well, but it has 14 dividers so one slot is designated for the putter. I heard the Sun Mountain makes the Titleist bags. My clubs do not get stuck on each other, even in the cart when the bag is completely upright. With my Ogio Diva they clubs always got all stuck together and then I would smash a finger trying to get them back in there.

I still love this bag. It is sooo light and the straps are comfortable.

In case anyone else comes across this issue, I ordered the bag in "Cadet Blue" hoping for the bag pictured on Sun Mountain's website, which is light blue with blue legs. The bag I got was navy blue with orange legs as pictured on this thread. I love the bag itself, but I really wanted the bag as pictured on the webiste in light blue.... oh well.... I guess my Tennessee Titans headcovers are really going to clash with those orange legs.... I may exchange for the Nike Sasquatch bag.
Bomb and Gouge
I picked up one of these a few weeks ago and it's definitely a quality bag. (couldn't care less about the colors- usually just go for all black)

Hi,

cause my sun mountain H2NO had a damaged spot I can return it and change versus a four5.

Even if the pics from kokogirl are very good (absolutely the best i've found, thanks!) there is still one question:
Will there fit 1,5 l bottles into the bottle pouch?

The H2No and the 3.5 pendants titleist x86, x96 and "lightweight" fit only up to 0,5l coke or water,
cause of the diameter, not the height.

To be sure:
I want to know if there will fit bottles like this 1,5l volvic:

thanks

99% sure the 1.5L would fit. Its not a huge pocket but it fits a LOT of bottles. All of my different water bottles fit in just fine and I do carry a lot of water with me (live in florida)
acesulfam
Hi,

thanks, that sounds good. The H2No bottle pouch was virtual great enough, but the diameter reduced extreme at the bottom.
Is there any stitching inside the pouch that reduces the place (yellow) or can i use the whole red area?

Bomb and Gouge
The whole area.
turbo4door
Yep, you can use the whole red area, it doesn't taper down at the bottom. I think it would fit a 2 liter soda bottle if you wanted smile.gif

Hi,

perfect!
Last question: did anyone received a cadet blue one without the orange legs and this light blue as listed on sunmountain.com?

... ok ... really the last one:
does the hood got a two-way zipper or one-way?

regards
aces
golf_fanatik
I have never seen one of those blue bags without the orange legs. I know because, I ordered one last year when they came out and was shocked when I received it with the organge legs.. needless to say it went back..

I suppose the legs could be spray painted or use one of those "shaft liners"?

The hood cover has a two-way zipper.

Has anyone here been using a white Four 5 for a while that can share how well it holds up? I've been thinkning about getting one but afraid it will get dirty quickly or end up showing black scuff marks like my white Iomic grip does. They are very cool looking and may be worth the extra effort though.
botany500
I've been hearing the Four 5 doesn't fit well on a cart. Are people talking about push carts or electric carts?
golf_fanatik
Electric carts for the most part.. the base is elliptical in shape with 12"in the long side so it doesn't fit in most electric carts... you have to turn it sideways..

It does fit ok in my clicgear.. it is not ideal but it works ok.. the bungies do not interfere with pockets..

It is a great bag even with the shortcomings mentioned above.. it replaced an Ogio Nexos that may go to BST soon.
theironhorse
had mine for 3 months now. not a good cart bag at all. it has to sit sideways and is a pain in the butt. lots of room and great for walking, but it ALWAYS swings to the side while in the cart. my buddy has a Nike 14 way divider bag and his sits nicely while in the cart. wish they made them without the stupid SQ logo all over.

+1 I love the sasquatch tour bag and also that you can remove the straps easily when riding in a cart but I hate the SQ logo.

I actually don't mind putting the SM four 5 on the side anymore, it blocks one pocket but I almost never carry anything there that I need to access constantly during a round..

Anyone with experience with how a Winn oversize putter grip would fit in this bag? Not as big as the StrokeSaver that KJ Choi uses, but still pretty big.

This bag sounds perfect, but this would be a show-stopper. I'm sure the Titleist Premium bag would work, but I really like the idea of individual club dividers.

I think an oversized grip would fit on the middle slot in the third lowest tier (i.e. closest to the legs).. I had a shark grip and it fit there fine.

However, if you have a large mallet putter, it may interfere with the other slots.. I just got a Rife IMO and the thing almost covers two slots with the big putter head.

Thanks for the advice. Take a look at my sig; I have the LARGEST mallet putter. I guess the thing to do is take the putter into a shop and see where and how it fits. Maybe I need to re-think the 14 individual club dividers and look at other bags. I really like the functionality of my Ogio Grom. The dedicated putter slot works great as does the 4 wood slots since I carry a 3 wood and 2 hybrids. But I walk 95% of the time and would like to lighten the load. I also don't like the legs on this bag and understand Sun Mountain 4.5's legs work great.

I have a Winn jumbo putter grip (not the giant but the midsize one) and it actually fits in most of the slots but like a previous poster said, it fits best in the bottom middle slot or the top middle slot. Considering you have a ginormous putter head, you might want to consider the Sun Mountain MPB. Similar to the Four 5 in that it has the 14-way divider but it also has a separate putter well. I just hate how the putter well runs through the spine though. It takes up space in the ball pockets and they've also had to eliminate the trunk handle. I'm torn between these SM models though as I really like the 14-way top and am not a fan of the Nike Sasquatch Tour with all its flashiness and branding...

I too would be interested to hear how the 'titanium white/black' version of the bag holds up!
I've been super conservative in bag color choices over the years, but contemplating the white one as it looks pretty sick.

Anyone who's got one let us know how well it holds up!
onwrd2vctry
I have had the titanium/black for a full season in Oklahoma. The wind blows hard everyday here. Combine the wind with red dirt and you have a tough combo for light colored bags. I am happy to report that my bag looks brand new with approximately 50 rounds of use.

One word of caution. The kids at the club that put my clubs on the cart usually try to jam the thing in there rather than turning it sideways (I have mentioned it to them several times, with no luck). Well they finally broke it two weeks ago.

I called Sun Mountain and had a replacement part three days later. When I removed the broken one it dawned on me that I should just take it off and leave it off, and the legs to.

My reasoning was that I usually take a riding cart. When I walk I use my Micro Cart and the roller foot hung down several inches below the Micro Cart and frequently snagged things. The only time I truely carried my bag was in the US Open Qualifier this year.

The wind was blowing 20 to 30 in Witchita that day. After my bag had blown over twice I started laying the thing down without using the legs.

So my "modified" Four 5 has been used for two rounds now, one riding and one walking with the Micro Cart. So far I haven't missed the legs.
joeyt
"So my "modified" Four 5 has been used for two rounds now, one riding and one walking with the Micro Cart. So far I haven't missed the legs."

for anyone else who usually rides or uses a push cart, another option is the SM H2NO. it has 14 way full length dividers, is waterproof, and is just about as light as the four 5 if you walk. (actually it appears to be made of the same fabric as the four 5, just treated with the waterproofing, and special waterproof zippers). it has a single strap instead of an X strap, which may be a positive or negative for some.
