Made a short trip to Wazzu for homecoming and to play this gem. It opened Aug 28th and while it is young, it is awesome. It's obvious that the course will just get better and better as it matures (it was in amazing shape for a course that is so young). The views are amazing. If you can ever get over to that side of the state to play, just do it.

I can't say enough good things about this course. The wind is a beast and the course plays tough, but extremely fair. Lots of risk/reward. Here's some pictures... more to come Sunday night.

Enjoy

Overlooking #5 & #6

On a side note, we played a quick round today at Quail Ridge in Clarkston. Very short and kinda quirky, but it's also a decent course. There's a couple real great holes on that course. I also have some pictures, I can upload them if anyone wants.

I don't know if I'll ever make the trip out there... Us Huskies regard Pullman as the gateway to Hell diablo.gif

First off, I think the Apple Cup may very well end up in a 0-0 tie............ cheesy.gif

Great pics Jon!!!! Especially nice of you to walk back to the blue and crimson tees for a couple of photos.....I keed, I keed......

Course looks fun.........I notice a lot of carts though......was that because of the event you were in or are carts mandatory for some reason??

I might have missed it because I scrolled through the photos pretty quick, but did you guesstimate the wind speed when you played?? I can only imagine it howling over there.

I feel the same way... Hopefully the Huskies can turn their acts around biggrin.gif

I've wanted to play Palouse Ridge since I heard about it a couple months ago. I'll probably make the trip out there next spring. Looks awesome!!

It's quite a hike indeed to walk back to those Crimson tees. I don't have to cojones to play them myself. If they tip that course out to length, I'd think it might play even longer than the 7300 it says on the card.

I'm sure you can walk (I actually planned on it), but I didn't see a single person doing so. The State Am is there next year... it's going to be a btch of a walk.

We played our first round Thursday in the wind and a couple guys said it was gusting at least 20-30 mph on the highest points of the course. It was very fair though. For every shot into the teeth, you had one downwind somewhere else.

Very nice looking course. Looks like I ton of elevation change, but it pulls it off very well..

Thanks for the pics!

laugh.gif The thought had crossed my mind. Lots of whitetail, coyotes, and pheasant out there. I know deer season opens up next month.

My dad had said when he was a student there playing the old course, everyone used to take out a .22 with them and shoot coyotes on the backside of the course.

Looking at the pictures, it looks like most of the holes play downhill. It makes for some fun drives off the tee, but there were lots of uphill approaches into greens. There were some holes where it was pretty tough to hold the green unless you played 10 yards short.

The wind and elevation was definitely a fun test though.

Great Pics! THanks for posting them.

I'll be making my way over there since my gf is going to school over there but 100 bucks to play is it worth it? I mean I didn't even know they could grow green grass over there all I usually see is that yellow straw and stuff. jk Looks like a tough course I'll get to it sometime later this month maybe...depending on the weather.
