I started calling him Iam Poultry at the beginning of the Ryder Cup, but I have to use his real name now. He would have been the hero of this Ryder Cup if the Euros had won. The guy has serious game, and the guts to back it up. The comment about it being just him and Tiger are still a bit much, but his nerve at the end of the Open Championship and at this Ryder Cup have made me a believer and a fan. Well played, Ian!

i am so glad poulter did well.
Think i was the only one who actually wanted him on the team.
His arrogance and determination to win is great for matchplay!

There are a bunch of guys I have a new-found respect for after the Cup. Poulter included. Hansen, Weekley, even Holmes showed what they are made of. A very enjoyable weekend for golf. Well played all!!

Good on you Ian Poulter!

After the amount of negative press he received after skipping the Johnnie Walker and the being one of Faldo's picks he probably had more pressure on his shoulders to perform than anyone. Playing all 5 matches and with a total of 4 point was remarkable.

Poulter played some awesome golf and lead the European charge so hats off to him.

Only Karlsson and maybe Rose showed some heart and unfortunately the US had Boo, Mahan, Perry, Holmes and Kim showing plenty.

The Ryder Cup saw a complete 'U turn' this time round with the US team having the passion and belief! I don't think this was down to Faldo either sometimes players just don't show up.

Look forward to 2 years time at Celtic Manor (lovely course) and the cup being returned to the Europeans!!!

Faldo can't be faulted for his picks as they both performed well and won points. Messrs Garcia and Westwood appear to be our weak links this time around as both failed to win any points. Sergio's play in particular was diappointing, especially as he had played so well in the couple of months leading up to the Ryder Cup.

Well played America, their chipping and putting gave us a taste of our own medicine.
