I've never been but am considering it. I grew up 5 miles away from Pine Valley, been in the clubhouse once, but like a dolt never went to the Crump Cup. Hard to find info on tickets and such online, anyone have more info? Thanks!

Damn, wish I had heard of this tournament a few months ago. Wonder how you get an invite?? Anybody here ever play in it?
Marrrk
well, if you manage to get in it next year, i'll be in the gallery cheering you on. unless you need a caddie, i can do that too.

i know my father knows the answer to these questions about Crump, but i just dont feel like calling him up right now.
Tmiller72
When you feel like calling him, post what he says please. Thanks.

haha, but if you only knew how torturous a phone call with him can be!

anyway, he probably wouldnt know a thing about qualifying, but he's played there and has been to Crump a number of times. i will post what, if any, interesting things the ol' man has to say.

oh yeah, i forgot about you. so how do us mortals get on to watch? i know it's not that hard.

It is open to the public on sunday. I believe gates open at 1 o'clock. I do not think there is an admission price, but if there is i heard its relatively small (5-10 bucks)

there ya go. that's what i figured but just wanted to double check. hope you've been well; let me know when you're ready to rock Bethpage.

no cost to get in. go to the amusement park near the club. they run buses down to the PV gates. no ropes, you have free reign to walk around.

if you have to ask how to get an invite then you probably aren't getting one :-) seriously, it is for the best amateurs so win the North / South, Western, Mid-Am, NCAA, etc...
rblmp32
One of my buddies played Pine Valley last week... his 3rd time... the basturd. I hope he sees this whilst lurking. smile.gif

Well, I've played in some of those tournaments. I've also seen previous years scores, most haven't won those tournaments. I saw a couple of guys that I just beat in our state mid-am. It's most likely a combo of being a good golfer and who you know.

One of our fellow members got the invite and is playing in the crump cup next week. That's all I can say......
Tmiller72
That's all you can say?? Is it top secret??

I live close by and am very interested in going to see Pine Valley as I know the invite to play is probably not coming anytime soon. Is it this Sunday the 21st or the 28th? What time does it begin? Can you bring Children (son is 4, daughter is 6)?

Thanks,
Anthony

Yea...he's my boy. Dude can flat out play.

Well it was AMAZING! We watched the final match between Marc Muehr vs. Brian Komline. Muehr was on tour but stopped due to melanoma. Muehr won i believe 3&2. Komline played good but wasnt too consistent. Muehr missed 1 fairway and 1 green, unreal. Komline could hit the crap out of it but missed too many greens. Muehr is now an agent on tour and one of his clients is Boo Weekly.

the course was like sex. It was amazing.

Any questions just ask.
Tmiller72
It's Michael, not Marc.
lilhellmaker17
I was close enough. He was so good too.
