Hello all. I just order new driver a fwd HC from tourspec and thought I would show pics. These are really nice but I haven't had a chance to try them out on course yet. I was surprised that they arrived so quickly since they came from Japan. Anyway, I have a set of Jan Craigs and these are no where near the quality, but I liked the look. The drivers pom pom is a tad small, but other than that, I like them thus far.

Just in case anyone is keeping track of this thread smile.gif - the head covers were great on the course. Very easy to come off and put on. I rode 9 holes and neither acted as if they would fall off.

Cool - that taylor made font/script/logo is several decades old: it was on the very first versions of the TM "pittsburg persimmon" metal woods - from the 1980's??

They are nice indeed...I have one of the white ones for my VSteel...easy on and off and don't feel too loose.

Why is it that an American OEM doesnt offer America the selection or the quality it offers some foreign countries ?I would love to buy a set of those .

I noticed they only had one size on their website. How do these work on fairways?

Thanks everyone. They have fwd sizes here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/proshop/p1861/...oduct_info.html

And xdhammerbx - good spot on the B5

Would be nice if TM did some retro looking stuff.

They had a whole line of retro stuff out last year on the TM Japan site, I believe it was called "Circa '79".

Very cool.

Anybody make Ping knit headcovers?

How are they compared to your Jan Craigs - quality and comfort wise (taking them on and off, and how long are they....etc.)?

The Jan Craigs are 100% wool and to me there is nothing like wool head covers. Wool head covers are so durable and last forever. The TM HCs are not wool, not really sure what they are made out of but they are better than any other knit HCs I have owned that wasn't Jan Craig. Taking them on and off is a lot easier than the JCs but I don't woory about them falling off. They are about 2-3 inches shorter than JCs.

Does this help? Let me know if you want some comparison pics...

I already have 4 custom made Jan Craigs made a year ago, and the are great - had them made extra long and slimmer towards the end of the head covers, so they have a tight fit once you get them on the club head. They are awesome.

Only problem with Jan Craigs is that the wool at some point starts to get a bit fluffy and lint (hope this is the correct word for it English.....). Not that the quality of the headcovers isn't great, but they do start to get a bit worn on the outside (as I say, NO holes or anything like that) especially if you have used them in rainy weather.

I'm trying some 100% wool como come headcovers next time. The quality of Como Come 100% wool head covers seems much softer than the 100% wool Jan Craigs.
Only time will tell if they are as durable or even more durable - they are even more expensive than Jan Craigs, so the quality has to be high.

I have been eying the Como Come covers as well, was about ready to pull the trigger when I saw the TM covers. maybe next spring I will try out the Como Comes...

And yes, my JCs are doing the same thing - a bit worn. I thought about having them dry cleaned but scarred I would never get my driver HC to work right again as it is already super tight.

Really like the retro look of the font on those HCs.

The matching TaylorMade retro bags on TourSpec are very nice as well.
