I read an article about Torpedo Golf from Golf Magazine a few months ago.
Since my putting sucks it grabbed my attention instantly. I ordered it. It's been a month.
Bad customer service... no return email... no update....
This one better be good.

Any reviews about Torpedo putters?

Just got mine last week. It took 6 weeks to get mine, but apparently they ship within 2 weeks now. It's interesting that you couldn't get a response from them as I emailed them multiple times and got a response within 24 hours (tim@torpedogolf.com).

Still too early to tell if it's gonna be a keeper. It rolls the ball well on carpet, but I haven't taken it out on the greens yet. The sensation is definitely different than any other putter I've tried. The interesting thing about it is that it is VERY heavy, but does not necessarily feel overly heavy in your hands when you putt.

I will post an update after a few rounds with it.

How does it feel to be stuck with that head design? If you could have any head you want, with any weight in the shaft would you do it differently. I mean ANY head design you like to stand over. Would you still have gone with Torpedo.

Looks like they're offering a $100 rebate for those still waiting on orders.

This might be the way to go if you wanted to keep your own putter head. Less expensive but I'm not sure how much weight difference between the torpedo and the shaft modification there is. I haven't been able to find out if this technology/science even works to begin with.
Seems like MOI is created with weights on the sides and back on putters and now all the weight is positioned in the shaft, I would think the MOI would be affected or at least no longer evident.

Anxiously awaiting your review!!

Everything I've read on MOI regards weighting of the clubhead itself and the relation to those weights relative to the ball. Its about momentum, really. This shaft weighting system misses the point, I think. This isn't anything you couldn't do yourself without a router blade (or an exacto knife and a steady hand) and some parts from the hardware store. $15 for a four ounce weight? Give me a break. An engineer buddy of mine has filled shafts with sand and acheived the same effect.
