I live in NE Wisconsin, and I am putting together a vacation for my Wife and I for next spring/summer. I have been to Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana each a couple of times, and as far as the Pacific coast of Oregon for a wedding. My Wife has hardly ever left Wisconsin, so we will be stopping at all of the tourist spots along the way...Black Hills, South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, etc. I've been to Yellowstone a couple of times, which is always beautiful, but I'm looking to add a little more to the trip, mainly our golf bags. Does anyone have any recommendations for courses along the way?

Our likely route will be I-90 through Southern Minnesota, South Dakota, and possibly all the way to Butte or Missoula Montana because we may or may not get up to see Glacier National, as I've never been there. Yellowstone though, will basically be the hightlight and the main point of the trip. We'll probably also hit Grand Teton, and Jackson and Cody, WY. I don't know yet, but I may use I-80E to get back and go through Southern Wyoming, Nebraska and Iowa.

So, I would be mostly looking for recommendations in South Dakota, Wyoming (northern), Montana, or Idaho (eastern). But if there is anything that might be close to our route in Nebraska, North Dakota, or Iowa my ears are open. I should also mention that I'm not a big fan of blowing $100 on a round, so please consider courses with reasonable rates.

I've already marked down Old Works in Anaconda, MT from another post. Beautiful Jack design with good rates. Thank you all!!!

Dang!!! I was all set to tell you about Old Works until I saw your last paragraph......and you beat me to it........... ok.gif

Enjoy your trip. If you have a few minutes in Anaconda, stop and see my friend Kim at Western Wishes on Main St. there. She has a nice little shop.

Wild Horse in Gothenburg NE. It is the best value around at under $50 including cart. It is a links style course.

I was about to post this suggestion but crazygolfnut beat me to it! Never played it but it has gotten a lot of attention from the course raters. (Off I-80 if you decide to take that route.)
