Hey Guys,

Since Fay is keeping me from playing golf today, I decided to work a little more on my home office. I made these golf ball fan pulls, since the wife gave me the go ahead to make it a complete golf themed room. Wondering what yall thought of them. Really really easy to make, and I like the way they look smile.gif

Thanks

i think thats awesome, great idea and looks great, original thinking goes a long way, i think you should paint the walls in a royal color, like a rich maroon or forrest green or a deep purple, i think it would add to the golf theme

If you do, it's really really simple to do.

All I did was go to Lowes and get the Beaded Chain and Connector. It was part number 049730. That was like $1.25 for a 3 foot section. Then I put the ball in my bench vise to ensure it didn't move. Drilled a hole completely thru the ball using a 5/32" drill bit, then flipped the ball upside down and did a counter bore of about 1 CM using a 11/64" Bit. That way, you just snake the cord thru, attach the end, and when you pull it, it brings the bottom connector into the ball giving a clean look, but makes it also where it can't come thru the top so you don't have to worry about it coming off it you pull it hard.
