I'm not bashing this one particular guy who needs everyone's approval before buying a shoe...but it seems to me a growing majority of men who seem to care more about how they look and less about the game.
I will take a few minutes before going out on the course to find a decent pair of socks and maybe throw an iron over a pair of shorts if they have been stuffed into a drawer all week...but my god i can't imagine asking my golf buddies if I look nice or if they think my shoes match my belt....

....um...yes you are bashing him. I love posts in replies to threads by posters who have no liking of the thread yet feel the need due to their enormous ego and therefore need to throw a negative comment in. The guy wants advice on color matching, you either reply with help or as my momma taught me...shut up.
I especially love when someone puts down a poster then throws in a line about not intending to bash them...sorry you bashed him already.
Feeling the desire to look good on the course does not entitle you to make derogatory comments saying "the guy cares more about his looks than his game"....funny having never met the guy and the guy never saying so..yet you know his game is less than his clothing style desire????
To original poster, i care how i look on course, i also try to look different, not radically, but not the usual tan dockers with white shoes and brown saddle, plain white polo...etc....so i care about color matching and yet shockingly...wow....i still put as much effort into my game.
