So my friends and I are taking a trip to the monterey area later this summer. I just got back from a trip there and played Poppy Hills and Pacific Grove Muni. We are planning on playing 3 courses, and and I'm pretty sure one is going to be Poppy just because I loved it.

In an ideal world, I would play Spanish Bay, Spyglass, and Pebble, but I don't really want to drop $1000 just on golf on this trip. So that leads me to my question, which courses should I play?

Right now we are leaning towards Poppy Hills, Bayonet, and Spyglass(or one of the other amazing courses). Which 3 courses in that area would you play?

Thanks

Right now the back 9 of Bayonet and the front 9 of Black Horse are being worked on so they are playing a combo of Bayonet/Black Horse right now. I didn't have a chance to play there when I was in the area recently but wanted to! Unfortunately I haven't played any higher end courses in the area so I can't recommend any of them over the others.. but I'd love to play Spyglass.

Pasatimpo in Santa Cruz is a great course but if you want to stay on the Peninusla, you are playing the top courses. The next tier of courses i would recommend are Laguna Seca off of highway 68 going towards Salinas, and then Rancho Canada (there are two courses). There is Del Monte Golf Course but i think it is alittle pricey for that course IMHO. Anyway enjoy the time !!!

Spyglass, Poppy and Bayonet is the right combination though I would play them in the reverse order that I listed them in.
