Tiger won it in a play off with Ernie

Tiger hit it in thefairaway on the 1st extra hole (the 18th) and Ernie pulled one into the sand and then hit his second into the water.

A good finish!

pulled???? Looked more like a snap hook to me! What an idiot, Ernie and the caddy. The caddy let ernie hit a 3-iron from the sand to the green all carry, and tiger wasn't even on in 2. Tiger made a 5, so i ernie layed up he could have won it witha birdie, easy up n down from 70 yards.

Well its hard to say what Tiger would do. Now, I'm assuming that Ernie hit his second before Tiger. In that case, Ernie went for it because if he hit a decent shot, Tiger would go for the green. So it wasn't really Ernie's fault. He was just trying to bring it up to Tiger's level.

Tiger hit his second shot first and ended up in the fringe behind the green. Ernie tried to hit a draw from the sand, but it was completely straight, so it ended up in the water, about 1 meter short of the fringe.

it actually wasn't as bad a decision as you make it out to be. first off you always have to assume tiger will get up and down for a birdie and watching the tourney on TGC i heard the announcers talking about the decision and the guy on the course with them said that either way ernie was going to have a tough shot and plam trees in his way.
