We are playing Caledonia on Saturday, and were looking for something a little cheaper, but still pretty good quality to play on Sunday. Does anybody have any suggestions?

meadowlands is nice and affordable.

River Oaks, not bad, 3 9's, but management are a holes. Oh and Caldonia is one of the best down there. Enjoy. If you can do twilight, do Heritage, Wachasaw East or some of the Legends courses.

When was the last time you played River Oaks? I played last summer and only 2 9's were open and they were "beat up muni" quality. For up to date conditions and unbiased reports on MB golf, visit: www.mbga.com

Played Farmstead earlier this spring and really liked it. Back 9 was pretty scenic with lots of wildlife around too.

Check here for their summer internet rate, not bad at all

You beat me to it. I played this course about a month ago, great condition and I think it was around $40 for the morning rate.

One of the big cat courses up in Sunset beach at Ocean Ridge Plantation. Lion's Paw, Tiger's Eye, Leopard's Chase, Panther's Run. Great courses - well maintained.

Cant go wrong with any of these courses either.Always in great shape.Lions Paw is the more "budget" priced of the selection and it's in as good a shape as the others, just more heavily played. There are,maybe,3 holes that dont belong or seem that way to me.They are on the back.Maybe 13-16 or something like that? Goes from a Prkland style setting to a links course,QUICK.If it's windy, this is where it'll get ya.They had decent PM {after 12:00} rates as well.ANY of the legends courses too.Parkland would be my favorite but they all kick a@#! The TPC is now a "legends" owned {or managed, but I think this is one of the ones the PGA sold} course and it's in fantastic shape.Or was about 8 months ago. There are really only about a "bakers dozen" courses down there you would want to avoid.

The Wizard and Man O War are fun layouts and worth playing at least once...they are cheap for the area as well.
