Has anyone stayed and/or played Kingwood Resort in Georgia...looking for an offsite meeting place and saw this place in a Magazine. I have done the Ritz on Oconee before but want to do something not as pricey as that.

I am not sure what you are looking for but Kingwood does not even compare to Reynolds. My brother played Kingwood last week and he said the greens were slow and the tee boxes had very little grass. It is not a great course either. There is nothing to do in Clayton, where the course is. I would check out Chateau Elan in Braselton. It has 3 good courses. Hope this helps pm if you have more specific questions. I live up in the area where Kingwood is located.

I read this post before I went to Kingwood to stay for a weekend and almost changed my mind about going....I am glad that I didn't. The course was nice, the greens were actually kind of fast and I am used to playing on some pretty quick greens. The tee boxes had plenty of grass. I will agree that there is nothing to do in Clayton, but my purpose was to get away from things and enjoy a peaceful weekend. This place is secluded and quite.
