Probably a dumb question, but....Does the zipper on a driver headcover scratch the head?? In particular the headcovers for Titleist D1 and D2 drivers??

Thanks,
O.

I mean they can, I did it to a D2 I had just sold to someone.

Never had a problem with the one on my D2.

i thought it would, but I've never had a problem.

I noticed some very fine scratching from the zipper on the top of my D2. You would never see them from address, but if you looked close they were there. I haven't seen the headcovers for the 909 drivers yet, but I really hope they go back to the good old sock-style cover and dump the zipper.

The zippers can scratch the clearcoat if you aren't careful. I've seen light swirl marks caused by velcro as well!

I definitely agree, sock headcovers are the best option.

the 909 HC are the same design as the 907, but different colors... more black. The sock was nice but the sock part would get sand etc in it. Then that would scratch the paint too. With the sock you have to be careful not to put it on the ground.

last weeks tournament pics have a good view of the new 909 HC.

I find the new Callaway (I'm sure there's a generic, as no doubt made by someone else) new magentic headcovers (not the one that come with FTi stock) are really sweet, well padded, magnetic strip stitched in both sides of cover so opens like a clamshell. Very nice protection to about $25 for driver.

Some light wax applied and it's gone i had some light marks on mine, and applied some wax not a issue anymore.
