Just got this awesome Mizuno bag from a buddy in exchange for a doz ProV1's. I had been wanting a stand bag for my main bag and this was perfect. I have had a Ping Discover cart bag for a couple of years and have been used to one hole per club. Looking at the attached picture what is the best way to have them arranged in the bag? Seems like how I first put them in (like in the pic) they will dirty up the headcovers of my hybrids/3 wood/driver. Am I missing something?

put the irons in front and the woods in back by your putter
btw is that a cayene in the background?

Thanks. Nope on the Cayenne....It's an 08 M3 Sedan.

My bad I realized that right after I posted my reply very nice ride though

I have seen people put the clubs in stand bags a couple of ways. The way you have them arranged now seem to be easier when the bag is on a cart. The tall clubs are in the back and you can access all of the pockets.

The other way would be how the first reply suggested. Put your woods in the pocket with the putter and move the wedges to the pocket where the woods are now. I guess this is the "traditional" way but its entirely up to you.

different exhaust tips on the Cayanne...

Put the woods at the top, then irons, then wedges. Put the putter where it'll fit.

I have more or less the same dividers in my stand bag.
56°, 50° , 9 and 8 iron at the bottom
7 & 6 in the middle right side
5 & 4 in the middle left
3 iron, 3 wood and driver in the top divider (sometimes the rescue iron too)
putter in that protected putter divider

I've got the Mizuno Aerolite bag and I set it up backwards to your setup. Driver and hybrid farthest away from the legs and putter and wedges closest to legs.

It's all just personal preference either way.

BTW, this is my first stand bag too. Just switched from a Zevo cart bag or something like that.

I like the setup of the Mizzy bags, except for the deviders, they make a big deal about the Kabuki devider but provide no suggestion on how it is supposed to work. But for the devider, I would have a new Mizzy bag in my garage right now.

nice car! more pics plz! :-)

With the woods at the front/bottom, I would be concerned with the irons banging against the shaft of the woods, even if they are covered? This is the main reason why I have the woods at the top.

I arrived at this setup by trying to minimize any banging of clubs/shafts while walking.
I can even leave the woods covers in the truck.

Its odd, but it works for me.

Putter has own tube on the very top
I put my driver top left with 3 wood and 5 wood below, going down the left side
Then next to driver and to the right on the top row 3i and 4i
2nd row,right of 3wood 5,6,7
3rd row, right of 5 wood 8,9,pw
bottom row is GW & LW and an empty 15th slot directly below the 5 wood on the left. (also my demo club slot-when i want to anger the golf gods and cheat, but I guess it could hold a ball retriever.)

when I walk I use iron covers, the banging was driving me crazy. It also saves your longer shafts. It is amazing how much damage is done to clubs just from rubbing and banging around.

I just reversed my setup to mirror yours and it seems like it's going to be kind of a pain when riding. Looks like my taller clubs will be first with my shortest in the back....is that right?
BluesDrive
I switch it around for when I go riding. Putter goes to the small slot on the left(as if it were on the cart already, so farthest away from legs), wedges go in the slot with the raised wall, then irons, hybrid, driver(closest to legs).

I think the Kabuki divider works with the curves of the walls. When you pick up the bag, the clubs should slide into the curves and stay there, making the groups of clubs swing together because...well...they're together. I still notice a little bit of chatter, but much less than my friends Callaway Warbird stand bag.

With the way I normally have it set up, gravity makes it so the irons don't bang against the woods/shafts at all. No damage to the faces yet. I still would like to buy some sort of non-neoprene iron head cover set for when I go riding.

BTW, I didn't know bags had certain setups?[onebulldogs]

Pics below display how I have my Kabuki set up. I think it works pretty well. I also now have a 3 wood in the slot with the Hybrid.

just turn your bag sideways while riding so the woods would be towards the middle of the cart and the wedges are towards the outside. Since you enter and exit the cart from the side your clubs should also be facing that direction. Even with sliding the bag strap through you handle this shoule easilly be accomplished and much easier than re-aranging your clubs every time you ride/walk.
