Hey y'all...

Wanted to see who you wish was still on Golf Channel. My all time favorite is Scott Van Pelt... listen to his radio show whenever I can on ESPN and he does a great job on SportsCenter too.

Jennifer Mills was solid. There was a guy I liked back in the day called Tom Nettles or something like that.

Least favorite was Megan (Meagan sp?) West.

Peter Kessler. He was the best by a mile. Guy has a great knowledge of the game. Someone should have told him not to piss off the boss though. Especially when that boss is Arnold Palmer.

Best looking? Jennifer Mills. She is probably twice my age, but absolutely smoking hot.

Kessler no doubt was the best. I've seen Jennifer in person and WAS a big fan of her until I saw her in person. Wow t.v. and make up can do wonders. She is not as hot in person sad to report.

Well if finally happened someone said something harsh about Arnold Palmer and absolute first for me.

Can someone please paraphrase what Kessler did to piss off Arnie? Also are you sure or did he just piss off the brass at the GC and Arnie gets held responsible.

I always wondered what happened to him, never did I consider he got fired.

It had something to do with the original fusion driver, Callaway made the legal and illegal
one and a contreversay developed and AP had just signed with Callaway and defended them in print.
PK insinuated on air that AP being spokesperson for the USGA and defending Callaway's illegal
driver was somewhat of a waffleing stance by him. Next thing, PK's selling the perfect club.

Actually, Kessler asked a very legitimate question as to why an icon of the game would endorse an illegal club (ERCII, as I recall). Arnie got all defensive and pissy about it. Here's the full transcript if you're interested:

I like most of the golf channel folks, especially Brandel Chamblee, Frank Nobilo, and Andrew MaGee. The moron who is on the show with Magee is pretty annoying though.

Unlike most, I like Kelly Tillingham. It's become common wisdom that she's terrible and doesn't know what she's talking about, but I don't see it. I bet she knows as much about golf as most of those guys, including Jim Nantz. Pleasant voice, calm demeanor -- she does okay.

Agree that Kessler was very good, and that he raised a pretty good point.

Arnold is not only and icon of the game but his boss. He sat down to intentionally prove his point and make Arnie look bad or him look good. He kept cutting Arnine off .

I always liked Kessler after reading the article I no longer respect him.

Who in tarnation is Kelly Tillingham? Never heard of a TGC personality with that name.

Anyone remember one of the originals, Denny Schriner? He's a local guy, who now is working at a NE Ohio Golf Improvement Center. Great story, about when his contract with the GC came up for renewal, he sort of over valued his skills, and requested a significant raise from Arnold. Story goes that Arnold did not agree with Schriner's over inflated opinion of himself, and basicially told him to hit the road. The guy has been bouncing around from one golf job to another.

Kessler should have been at TGC until he retired. I remember clicking away when he was on vacation or someone was replacing him. When they said he was gone, I honestly thought it had to be a joke.

Van Pelt was excellent on TGC but he's superb on Sportscenter and with other sports, so that was a good move. Initially I thought he blew it by departing.

What happened to Jennifer Mills?

Did she retire, or is she on another TV channel?

+1 for Peter Kessler.

I really enjoy his shows on XM Radio when I get a chance to listen.

Tom Nettles was cool, what happened to him?

Anyone notice Jennifer Mills working for NBC now? She was on the air last weekend, first time I've seen her in who knows how long...whenever she left golf central. I wonder if they fired her b/c of her looks? She has a smoking body IMO, very curvy but her face is busted.



Mark Lye is another guy who I haven't seen in a while. I know he had cancer but I'm pretty sure he beat it.

Kessler was what made watching TGC worthwhile. They will never bring him back unfortunately.

I never liked Van Pelt and have disliked him even more since ESPN let him show his true personalty. Arrogant, smartaleck jerk.

They would be smart to bring Denny Schreiner back to do some tournament anchoring and get people like Dave Marr and Jerry Foltz out of that role.

I liked Tom Nettles. Not sure why he left -- it seemed it was his own choice. Same with Jennifer Mills. she wanted more time with her family.

I don't miss Megan West at all. She was just terrible.

Mark Lye was on there a week or so ago. They use him now on their tournament coverage.

I wouldn't mind if Kelly Tilghman became a former Golf Channel personality.

Read that Arnie transcript last night and it was well worth it. Peter really grilled him and Arnie seemed like he got his panties in a bunch...awesome stuff

They had some arguements but when Kessler said on air that Minnie would be upset
with Arnies' position on the ERC thats when he got the pinkslip !!

BTW - Arnie's wife's name was Winnie.

I played golf with Rich Lerner twice and thought he was a nice guy. Couldn't say the same for Kelly Tilghman who played behind me in a Pro-Am. She's got one of those creepy personalities like Fred Couples and Hunter Mahan who are billed as great people but are very weird to everyone behind the scenes. They all should stay away from doing anything with the public.
