First, apologies for the title.

Second, my family is going up to Maine over the fourth, specifically to Bridgton. Does anyone know of good courses nearby? Golfweek just had an article on the best places to play in Maine, but none of them are close to Bridgton. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was born and rasied in Maine and now spend alot of time on Long Lake (Bridgton area) with my Fiance and her family...

Four suggestions:

1.) Bridgton Highlands Country Club

2.) Naples Golf and Country Club

3.) Point Sebago

4.) Sunday River Golf Club (Only about an hour from Bridgeton maybe...One of the top two courses in Maine in my opinion. Sunday River and Belgrade Lakes are awesome)

Have fun summer golf in Maine is perfect! Let me know where you end up!

Hey,
My friend owns a house on Brandy Pond, which is connected to Long Lake. I have to say that Naples Golf and Country Club is an awesome couse and is in pretty decent condition for a public course. The back nine is amazing.
Now that me and my friend get our license soon we can play at a few other courses hopefully.
Naples G&CC is a great choice and would highly recommend it.

You probably have heard the best courses are: Sunday River, Sugarloaf & Belgrade Lakes. My favorite course in Maine (haven't played Sunday River yet) is The Ledges which is on the way up to Bridgton if you're taking rt 95. Greens are usually in great condition and the course is very picturesque and is a great William Bradley Booth design. #18 is one of the toughest golf tests in New England especially from the tips.
