I am in the market for a pair of the solid white FJs Classics and I don't have anywhere local to try them on or but them. I am going to have to order them online. I wear size 9 in my current FJs DyJoys and my Adidas Powerbands. I have heard the Classics fit different. I wear dress shoes everyday and I wear 8.5 D in all my dress shoes. I wear Johnston & Murphy and Allen Edmonds. Should I order 9 or 8.5?

I used to wear nothing but FJ Classic Premiere and wore a 9.5. Johnston and Murphy always seemed like a full cut to me. I have a high arch so I might not be the best one to comment on this, but I would guess the same size you wear in a dress shoe. I have Adidas Powerband Sports now, and wear a 10...

Just go to a golf store and try them on to be sure...
LR Hog
That is the problem. There are no stores around here that carry them.

I would guess an 8.5 then...

i would go with your original size or maybe even 1/2 size bigger!

i wear 10.5 or 11 in just about every shoe. my classics dry premiere are 10.5 and they're borderline too small. most of my dress shoes are 10.5, but i could definitely wear an 11 in the classics.

I wear an 11.5 in the Adidas Tour Metals and the Tour 360 IIs, and the 11.5 in the Dry Premier is the proper fit for me.

The length should be the same in FJ Dryjoys and FJ Classic's. However, the Classic's come in widths not available in Dryjoy's. If you have Dryjoy's medium widths and they are a little loose on the sides or on top, you may want a C or even B width in the Classic's. If your Dryjoy's are a little tight on the sides or on the top you may want to get an E or EE width in the Classic.

Thanks. I guess I will order size 9D

Order the 9D, but if it is not a perfect fit do not hesitate to return it for a different size.
You want the fit snug, not loose, not tight, just snug.
You will know right away if the length is correct for you. Regarding the width, if it looks and feels as if there is "play" in the leather on the top or on the side, then exchange your D width for a C width. If your D feels and looks too tight, exchange your D width for an E width.
If you're ordering online then it will be easiest to do your exchange directly through customer service. They will ship you whatever new size you want to try once they have received the pair you send back.
Hopefully the 9D will be a perfect fit. If it's not then do the exchange, because on a fine shoe like this you will get the most benefit from an excellent fit.
Definitely get a pair of Footjoy premium shoe tree's, sized for a size 9. The shoe tree is critical to the shoe holding its shape and performing well for you for years. Put the shoe tree's in your shoes immediately after you take them off.

I use shoe trees with all my golf and dress shoes. Thanks for the help.
