Sorry if I am a little wound upo about his "goat" treatment by the Golf Channel but they really made me mad. I was stunned when I remembered that Rocco also played 18 or 36 holes of golf for the qualifier at the start of the week! So he played either 127 rounds of golf or 109 rounds? At 45 years old with a bad back he must have been exhausted. It makes his effort and accomplishment even more impressive.

Rocco played the qualifier the week before. I don't think he played in Memphis. He had plenty of time to rest.

Franc- I think you're overreacting to the entire situation.

These Rocco-zealots are killing me. He's a nice guy, he overcame some adversity, and made a nice run, but, ultimately, his game wasn't tight enough to win. It is what it is...let's not start lionizing him just because he gave you the "warm and fuzzies."

No matter how many holes he played during the week - he proved that he had the mental toughness to play with Tiger. My hat is off to Tiger, he's the world #1 for a reason. Rocco showed that he's one tough competitor. Way to go Rocco! What a splendid showing, when he was down he grinded it out. So close...

Agreed. People are saying "he did not get it done" but what about the other 100 guys. All the guys on all the commercials on the creepy Golf Channel. No Sergio, Justin, Zach, Phil, Vijay, Ernie, Poulter, Olgilvy (though he played well) and on and on. They did not get it done either.

It was a great tourney and a great playoff.

I pretty much felt the same way about Guydos at the TPC but this was MUCH bigger and Rocco was playing Tiger.
