I'm rather new to the golf and I'm mystified by handicapping. I've been using oobgolf's handicap track this season. It's telling me that my handicap is 14.3 (unrealistic) but my scoring average is 95. I've only got 8 rounds recorded and generally on a course that is 72.4/127 rated. My low round was 85 and high round was 101 -- I would have expected a handicap more in the low 20s.

What am I missing?

With 8 scores turned in, your handicap is based upon the lowest 2.

Here's a great introductory article to the USGA handicap by Dean Knuth (aka The Pope of Slope):

Unfortunately part of your issue has to do with a lower course rating and slope...something you can't control. If you visit other courses that are a little harder that should help you out (higher if you want).
