i think i will have a "last minute meeting" that happens to take place at 1:00pm (central), so between leaving for lunch at 12:00 and the meeting probably not wrapping up till 3:30ish, i'll probably just call in for the day and go get 18 into.
at least this is how it plays out in my head tonight

I'm going to take a half-day off for sure. I make my own hours anyway, so that's not really an issue. The problem will be dealing with all my co-workers giving me a hard time about leaving to watch golf. They're not golf fans, so they just don't understand.
I'm just hoping it's a good competitive playoff. I'd hate for it to be a landslide either way, although if it's going to be a landslide I think I know who's side that would fall on.

Ha, good one, MizunoGrrl.
So funny. I was thinking the exact same thing when Tiger's put sank; "Damnit! How am I gonna watch it tomorrow?!" Fortunately, I can watch it from my studio/office on the laptop, but it's just not the same as being home on the couch and a big tv ... it sucks having to contain your excitement at work.

Already took the day off. 9 holes at 8am, then come home and relax with Tiger and Rocco.
Yearly ritual to take off day after Father's Day and US Open. Never sure i'll get to watch the whole thing on Sunday (tivo'd) because of child. And it's fun to play with new toys received on father's day (Wii Fit this year).
If I didn't have it off, I'd have worked from home

I only work a 4 day week, Tuesday thru Friday.

I was planning on going out to play tomorrow morning, and despite the fact that I have an HD-DVR I think I would rather stay home and watch it live anyways. We can only hope that the playoff is half as exciting as the last few rounds have been, and if it is we'll be in for a real treat.

I signed an agreement with my boss and company, that I can take days off if any Majors should show on TV during weekdays. But then I had to take a paycut... it's ok :-)

Actually, the coverage is a bit odd tomorrow. Not sure why NBC wouldn't have had all the rights to the playoff. As per USA Today:
"ESPN will carry the first nine playoff holes starting at noon ET Monday. At 2, NBC plans to pick up back-nine coverage."

I was thinking about it, then I recalled that my golf league is on Monday, and my manager is on the golf league... Then I beat my head against a brick wall a few times wondering why the hell I invited that guy onto my league in the first place!!
