Which Classics Dry Premier models (s) do you have ?
If they are more than 4-5 years old they were made on one of FJ's older lasts.
These days FJ is using a newer last called "Classic Laser" on most of the Dry Premier and Tour model shoes.
More than anything else, the last is the most significant differentiating factor amongst all FJ Classics, Classic Dry Premier, and Classics Tour shoes.
The model number of your Dry Premiers is on the inside lining of the shoe (or on the box if you still have that). Do a search at FJ or google to find your shoes and the last model name will be revealed. Once you have the last name you can check that last's description at FJ's web site (customer service section) and that will give you an idea of the difference in the shape of your existing shoes versus the shape of most all new Dry Premier's and Tour's.
Regarding Classics Dry Premier versus Classics Tour, here are my observations:
1) Tour sole is significantly lighter weight (this is likely the primary concept behind introducing the Tour model).
2) Dry Premier sole (leather) offers better touch/feel with the ground than does the Tour sole. The Tour sole is primarily made of EVA, an airy rubber material found in old style jogging shoes. EVA is extremely strong and resilient to depression, which is why EVA is used instead of polyurethane (which degrades with time). So, the EVA rubber on the Tour sole means there is a cushioning effect between your feet and the ground. This cushioning offers less touch and feel (with the ground) as compared to the Classics Dry Premier leather sole.
3) Stability-wise, both the Dry Premier and Tour models use a welt construction which keeps the upper tightly attached to the sole. Both models also use the same high grade leather which holds its shape very well. The welt construction and leather make both models comparable in terms of stability during the swing. This is the biggest advantage Dry Premiers and Tours have over all other FJ models and other golf shoe brands. That is, stability throughout the swing. However, to recognize these stability benefits the player needs to have the precisely correct size fitting shoe. Both models are available from A width narrow through multiple EEEE extra wide sizes.
4) To hold their shape well both these models need to be cleaned regularly and stored with correctly sized shoe tree's.

Hey Titleist1455,
Have you had both the classics dry premiere and the tour classics? I was wondering if the sole of the tour classics actually make a huge difference in comfort. I have the classics dry premiere and I currently don't have any issues with the flexibility and stability of the sole.
Anyone else want to chime in about the differences between the tour and the dry premieres?
Thanks.
