Why do some people say "I'm going to hit 7-iron"

...while other people say "I'm going to hit my 7-iron"

Where does this come from?

No idea, but...

The other day, I couldn't find the spare set of keys for my car. After watching me check various places and having heard me bemoaning my forgetfulness, my partner said 'they're bound to be in the last place you look...'

Er. Well, yes. Since I'm not likely to check anywhere else once I've found them sweetie. fool.gif

it's the only think i can think of, people say things differently just depends where your from or what you were used to hearing i guess
