I am about to make my first flight with my new black Club Glove. In hind sight, I'm thinking I probably should have opted for a color that stands out a little better, because I am guessing there may be more than a few black Club Gloves on a given flight.
Does anyone have any good ideas on how to make my travel bag stand out on the luggage carousel so it will be easier to spot, and more difficult for someone else to grab by mistake?

paint a unique design or logo on it. any old craft paint will do or if you have a can of household paint laying around. heck, spray paint works too.
you can either do it on the fabric or on the plastic base that houses the wheels.
but mine is red so it stand outs on it's own.
What my wife does to all our luggage - pink ribbons or ties on almost every side. Helps a ton at baggage terminals.

Stripes of white athletic tape on the handles/straps.
Gives them a slightly zebra look and is super easy to ID.

I ironed on my company logos on each side.
I am also planning on getting something unique embroidered onto the side... maybe my username? I like the bleach idea

I would probably mess it up though...
But easily the best travel bag I have owned... (I have owned alot too!!!

I have a ginormous optic green luggage tag on the top handle. Anyone who tries to roll it away would have to be a complete moron not to notice it and it makes it easy to spot.
In addition, I am planning on adding a bag tag to what I call the "midbag" handles. Luckily, mine is dark blue so there aren't a ton of them.
BTW - cheap tip - instead of paying big bucks for one of those sticks they sell to protect your clubs, go to Home Depot/Lowes and buy a broomstick. Cut so it is 1-2" longer than your driver. It is both light and cheap and offers some protection if your clubs get dropped "headfirst" onto something hard. As an additional layer of protection, I wrap my clubheads in towels.

Cut down hockey stick will also do the trick.
Find it works better than a broom stick as the blade of the hockey stick provides a bigger protection contact point.

Mine was purchased with the Country Clubs logo embroidered rather large on the side. Any embroidery shop could embrioder whatever you want on it.....

I have done the broomstick method, and without putting something flat ontop, I almost wore a hole through the top of the bag after 7 flights....
I then used an old shoe on top of it which was much better as it lessened the "point"
I have still ended up just getting the "actual" club guard. $25 was worth it for the ease of use.
I also wrap towels around my heads... I get REALLY annoyed with TSA when they look in the bag though... They are generally too lazy (and inconsiderate) to wrap them back up, and my last flight on Thursday to Seattle, they were even too lazy to do my clips back up... Grrrr.
