Hard to find a feel good story like this nowaday. I definitely will root for Kevin next week @ Torrey Pine.

The only good news is hopefully since his dad is there maybe his dad will whip his a** if he starts throwing tantrums and throwing clubs like he did in several tournaments this year, including the NCAA's. The kid acted like a spoiled brat in the all the AJGA events I saw, and it doesn't appear that he's matured any in college.

No offense, I don't know you who you are, but I'm assuming you're not playing in the U.S. Open this year (and probably never will). Second, isn't the number one player in the world consistently accused of throwing said tantrums on this site? Not to say Kevin Tway is the next Tiger but I imagine he has more game than either you or I do. Lastly, I don't know Bob or Kevin, so I'm not bias as far as that is concerned, but I do take issue with your obvious disagreement with Kevin Tway's displays of emotion on the course. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I can only guess that a club or two has left your hands with a few choice words after a mis-hit or blown 3 footer some time in your golfing career, and I venture to guess that when they did, you didn't have the same feelings about your own reaction as you seem to have about Kevin's. Not that such behavior is acceptable or should be excused, but I feel like many people seem quick to judge others when many of us have and still do show our frustrations in a quite heated manner in our weekend rounds

mizzou - how about connecting the logical dots for us.....

let's begin with the premise that kevin tway has some temper issues that the poster above has personally observed.

1. what does the poster's golfing ability have to do with the price of tea in china?

2. does the fact that tiger sometimes allows his temper to get the better of him somehow excuse kevin tway's behavior?

3. and is your "taking issue" with the poster's account, which is seemingly based on him having seen tway acting out on several occasions during junior events, the result of personal observations of any kind on your part?

Kevin is a good kid, He has a bright future ahead of him. Both at OSU and out on tour when he chooses. Learning to deal with pressure under certain situations gets to everyone. But his father will help him more than anyone else could at Torrey Pines.
