I just wanted to be the first to say WAY TO GO K.P.! After many years with success and many without success, you have to hand it to him for bouncing back after that heart-breaking fairway wood that bounced off a tree and into the water, ending his chance for a win just four weeks ago. He showed his heart by winning the Memorial today. Being a "journeyman" as some have labeled him, he's doing pretty well for himself I'd say. I thought that a "journeyman" implied very little or no success with numerous trips to Q-school. With this win, the 48 year old "journeyman" moves inside the top 10 in 2008 money and 4th in FedEx Cup points. He's also won the Memorial three times. Once in 1991, again in 2003 and now in 2008. In my opinion, he's a world class player and a true class-act of a human being.
Also "big ups" to TaylorMade, whose INFERIOR staff produced a 1-t2-t2-t2 finish. Does this mean that TaylorMade is the by far the best company in the business? JK but according to the "Titleist over Taylormade" thread, this would be a logical statement. Just goes to show that the company that a player represents has nothing to do with that player's success. And how many good players represent a company has nothing to do with the quality of their retail products. If either of these were true, then TM would have to be the best now.
BTW...for all those that are curious.....Kenny Perry, Mike Weir, and Matthew Goggin all had the Tour Burner in play this week. So I guess it's DEFINITELY the best driver for EVERY customer.
