I guess no one wants to die until they fix their slice or try next year's wonder driver.

Professor Anders Ahlbom, who led the study of 500,000 golfers, said that many aspects of the game were beneficial to health.

"A round of golf means being outside for four or five hours, walking at a fast pace for six to seven kilometres, something which is good for the health," he said.

"People play golf into old age, and there are also positive social and psychological aspects to the game that can be of help."

Positive psychological impact? He probably has never played. rolleyes.gif Oftentimes frustrating.

I knew it. Pity that the beers at the 19th deprived me about 10 years of life.

Adds five years to your life...takes 10 from your marriage...Seems like a fair trade to me.

OMG how true on the marraige thing, not from experience, but seems realistic given the dealings with my GF.

Yeap...My girlfriend has been absolutely losing her mind lately about how much golf I play. I mean come on guys, you hear me when I say 45 holes is not really too much golf if your feeling up to it.

Your solution is simple. Get a girlfriend that plays golf.

Gotta love being in a family that plays golf. My 7 year old plays golf. Now, my 2 year old plays golf. This left the wife no excuses but to play the game herself about a month ago. The reason, should both kids play in a junior tournament, I will have to caddie or follow one kid. She will need to caddie or follow the other.

Life is great with a kid who wants to play every weekend and another one who wants to learn. "Honey, No. 1 wants to play a practice round today. See you in about 4 hours." "Sure have fun." "Oh, you need to take No. 2 to the driving range and putting green for practice while I'm out with No. 1."
