Am playing in a silloth next week and was wondering if anyone knew the rules/format it took? Can't find it anywhere.
Thanks

Are you sure that's the right name? I can't find a thing about that other than there's a golf course in the UK with that name in it.

Same here. I know the ex-pro from Silloth-on-Solway GC. It's the only Silloth I know.

From what I could find, its a method of calculating a pairs handicap for a pairs bettr-ball comp;
Silloth : Take the difference between the two handicaps of the players and subtract this from 18. Divide this number by 3 and then subtract from the lower handicap and that is the playing handicap of the Silloth pair.
Google 'Silloth handicap calculation' and you will find some links.
Also Silloth on Solway is a great links course!

thanks very much for finding that out. given my playing partners handicap is 14 and mine is 2 that calculation leads to scratch so not to optimistic!
