Sure people might think he's phony, but anyone who can appear in a set of commercials mocking themselves and be as self effacing and funny as Phil was is A-OK in my book.

I met a guy at a business conference. His relative is a neighbor of Phil and his family. He said he is a super guy and golf is not his whole life. I took this to mean that his family comes first. Good for him.

Honestly...not a huge Phil fan but these commercials really make me see him in a new light....really good!

That is hilarious! I like the one where it is all the Phil look-a-likes and he just keeps looking at the Asian gentleman, it cracks me up something serious.

It's the fault of the mighty Dick's Sporting Goods. They need a new ad agency pronto. The Slazenger commercials that they're putting out are awful and the Reebok David Ortiz commercial is terrible as well.

Their only saving grace are the "Manager Armstrong" commercials featuring Lance Armstrong, those are pretty funny. They are produced by Wieden+Kennedy who happens to be the same agency which does Nike ads, hence the connection to the Nike "Livestrong" brand. I believe that they do not make the before mentioned Slaz and Reebok ads for Dick's.
