I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Cameron Studio Select, but that headcover is THE WORST!

It looks like a boot to a spacesuit for a toy astronaut! BLEEEECH!!! nea.gif nea.gif nea.gif

It amazes me the things some people think look GOOD! (See the "Show Us Your Paint Fills" topic for lots of examples!! laugh.gif)

teamarctic
so sell it and buy a different one

Thanks!!! smile.gif

You can always use the "Club Glove" headcovers. Or I can sell you a used white mess like cover with the US flag on it.

And why bash people's custom paintfills? They are custom and done because they look good to the person who is doing it.

I ditched mine for a club 2008 headcover....soo much nicer looking....but the new sc custom shop select headcovers are really nice too.

So...? Buy a new one, aint no puzzle.

Is this a serious thread??

are you seriously contemplating buying a particular putter because you don't like the HEADCOVER??

BTW, Scotty only makes about 500 different ones to choose from...in fact, most people don't even game the original putter cover anyway...

get a Como! Come! cover
they're just plain awesome

Yeh suck it up princess
Bomb and Gouge
I can't believe how many people here are more concerned about how something looks than how it performs.
CooGAR
Guys......guys....please!!!! smile.gif

I'm not stupid!! OF COURSE I know I can change the headcover!!! DUH!!

My comment was just a comment........and directed to the design of the headcover. It had nothing to do with the putter and I was not looking for a solution to the PERCEIVED problem.

So let me rephrase.

Does ANYBODY think that wad of aluminum foil with 3 red dots is a good looking headcover?? smile.gif

Bomb500Plus!
Yeah, it's pretty ugly. But honestly, there's a decent amount of ugly Cameron headcovers. There's so many of them that of course you can't like all of them.

Have you seen it in person or just in pictures? Prior to getting mine I agreed with you, the headcover was not very appealing, but once I received my putter (which is awesome) I found the headcover to not be that bad. Granted I am not gaming it, I have my 2008 Hula on my Select, but it is hanging on my putter/headcover rack. It isn't the best headcover to come from Scotty, but I wouldn't say it is terrible.

The worst headcover has to be the TM Monza Spider. That thing is awful. I do not think that the SC headcover is that bad. Different but not ugly.

Replace it with a GolfWRX cover!

If u really dislike the OEM putter head cover, sell it on e-bay and replace it with the"Flying Tiger" '08 Camouflage GolfWRX.com head cover which is a good alternative... I would do it, if I wasn't so cheap in terms of these kind of things ($35 for a head cover for my Ping G5 mini-C putter, which is only my back-up?, nah!).

Here's the "Flying Tiger" head cover, if interested:

300 dollar putter and he's worried about the headcover! Put a long tube sock and leg warmer on it!

My buddy brought one by today. I think it looks ok. Not too great or too bad. But I am a fan of the scotty nasa covers too so I kinda dig them. My only comment that I made to my buddy was that if you put a shiny silver cover with three huge red dots on it, you can tell it's a scotty from a mile away, and maybe the wrong guy may see it. You might as well cover it in dollar signs and wrap a gold chain around it, if you know what I mean.

Before I bought mine, I saw the headcover in photos and thought it looked pretty bad... anyway now that I got it, I think it looks fine. Not great, not bad...

I don't think the Studio Select cover is all that bad. I don't really get the whole 3 dot theme (i thought it was a dot for each member of the family...wasn't the count at four?) but the quality is better than any other cover AME puts out...go figure. rolleyes.gif

That said, my Studio Select is in a Tigershark cover. Not for any dislike of the Cameron cover, other than the 'steal me' invite, but the camo covers are just so damned cool. cool.gif
