i've seen a growing number of people using breakfree clp on their carbon steel putters and was thinking of doing the same as i have a custom carbon steel slighter with 3x black finish on the way.
my question is, i notice most people specifically talk about the breakfree clp, but is clp made by other companies as good or is there a reason you guys choose breakfree? any insight would be nice. thanks.

Hi th6252,
Aside from golf, I am very much into firearms as well and have used BreakFree CLP on maintaining my pistols. I tried other products and only one matches BreakFree's performance and formulation, Firepower FP 10. Breakfree is very popular because it is widely used by our US military. I am not sure if BreakFree has patented the "CLP" name but it just stands for Cleaner, Lubricant, Protectant.
Hope this helps.

Breakfree CLP and EEZOX are great products for protecting Carbon Steel putters.
