About to black oxide an oil can putter. Stripped the finish, sanded out an imperfections, removed paintfill.

Now...do I redo the paintfill prior to doing the black oxide or after? Does acetone strip black oxide?

Are you using the stainless steel blackener 370?

You will need to oil the head after your paint fill dries. I blacken Callaway vintage finish wedges. You will need to take care of an oxide finish or it WILL rust.

No this is a carbon steel putter, i removed the oil can already and I plan on using birchwood casey products to blue the putter!
