I wanting to put a soundslot on my putter, TaylorMade RoHo III, to extend the sweet spot. Just asking the people with beached putters what qualities of the putter are gained lost when a sound slot is milled into a putter. I like sound on my putters, so that won't bother me. Heres is pic so you know what I will be working with.

A sound slot will not extend the putters sweet spot, it simply changes the sound the putter makes on contact with the ball (plus it knocks about 5grams off the weight of the putter head ).

It won't? The sweet spot right now is only as big as the sight dot because of the shape. I thought a sound slot, float face, what ever you call it would enlarge the sweet spot.

Like curryj said , a sound slot will not expand the sweetspot, only make the putter sound and maybe feel a little different.

Unless there's sentiment attached to it, I say get a new putter (with sound slot).
