A REVOLUTION IN GOLF MAT PERFORMANCE

I have the original mat and it's a very good mat. the only problem I have with it is the quick wear of the hitting surface and it's pricey to replace. It would be a good feature if the hitting surface can be replaced with something that simulates various rough conditions.

This is possibly the worst hitting mat I've every tried. I saw the TrueStrike at the PGA merchandise show and suggested it to our pro. He got a couple of them and put them on our range. They were okay for a couple weeks, but there were a number of problems right off. First, it was hard to get the ball to stay on the gel part. You have to roll the ball onto it, the tap it down with your foot or your club. Sounds like no big deal, but trust me it is a pain. Second, you can't tell how you hit the ball. The gel is soft, so you don't get harsh feedback like on other mats, but the gel provides very vague, muted feedback. I just couldn't tell when I was hitting it clean and when I was fatting it. Finally, the coving on the gel part wears very very quickly. After just a couple weeks, we had worn a depression in the middle of the gel pads, so it was like hitting out of a divot. Even worse, once the covering on the pad starts to wear, the club starts to stick to the surface when you hit a ball. It is even more harsh than a firm mat! These things really really suck, and a bunch of people at my club are mad at me because I suggested them.

I have one and it's fine for just me..

I use mine indoors mainly for video and rainy days.

I can see this being bad for a range full of people because the pads will wear fast. Mine is still nice with no issues.

I do agree witg Dliver about placing the ball on the pad after awhile, but it's hardly that big of a deal.

I give the mat a 3 as it has what you need, but way over priced and there are way better ones for cheaper prices, luckily I baught mine on ebay for a steal compared to full price.

I would not recommend buying one, unless it was 100bucks or less new otherwise find something else.

This is really disappointing considering the hype. My local range has them and it feels like no kind of grass I have ever hit off. Wears out in no time, rubbish concept badly executed.
