Anybody else getting this? Sounds like CBS is broadcasting from a Factory Assembly Line!

Unlike everyone else in the media tripping over everything Tiger says and does...At least Nanz is mixing it up.

Mine seems fine. I like the coverage more then ESPNS, it seemed like every 3 minutes was another thing about how great the Masters instead of showing the actually event.

I completely agree. There are times when the sound from the outdoor mikes drown out Faldo. Do they not listen to their own broadcast?

I take it you have 5.1 surround? I agree. They would turn on certain mics at certain times, and it sounded like one or two were open that should not have been.
I think there are engineers out there that still don't know how to set up for surround. I watched an NFL game once where I could clearly hear two people from the crowd talking in the rear left speaker.

At one point I think a squirrel was attacking one of the "bird mics" that CBS/Augusta hide in the trees.

Hi everyone,
Here's my first post on this cool site.
The sound here in NZ was pretty bad too. On occassions it sounded like the commentators were talking in a large empty room with a bad echo. I thought it was due to our atmospheric conditions here (it was pouring with rain) but see it was a worldwide problem. I must admit I thought the TV network would have sorted this out considering it's probably the most watched golfing event of the year.
