I have been reading through the forums to get some info on the courses in the Orlando area. I am currently holidaying in Orlando for Australia, and have budgeted to play one round of golf (maybe two if I am lucky).

The question is, where should I play? There are courses everywhere! I am a mid-handicapper, so a course too tough would probably not be enjoyable.

I am staying at the Ritz Carlton (Grand Lakes course, which looks nice enough).

Atm I have brainstormed Grande Lakes, Grande Pines, Shingle Creek, and Falcons Fire.

Cheers.

Second Orange County. They have two courses, play both!

Orange County National, Reunion, Bay Hill or Grand Cypress. O.C. National is less expensive than the others so you could play two rounds play both courses if you play there, but any of these are excellent

Orange County is awesome, played both courses as well as Mystic Dunes.

Didn't rate Shingle Creek though.

Have fun, awesome place for golfers.

Just finished playing Orange County this weekend, great courses, especially Pannther. Also played Mystic Dunes Resort. No one in our group liked it, too gimicky. greens were just stupid.

Isleworth, Lake Nona!! Both exclusively private though sad.gif reallistically, OCN and Lake Buena Vista, Osprey Ridge, Magnolia, and Palm (all Disney courses) are all great. Beware of the ROUGH at Mag and Palm! Unbelievably thick right now because they grew it out for the tournament this coming week or 2.

Orange County National (Crooked Cat & Panther Lake), Championsgate (National & International), Osprey Ridge @ Disney, Nicklaus or Palmer @ Reunion, Metrowest, or Falcon's Fire. Another great course near Orlando is Southern Dunes. Don't bother with Mystic Dunes, Celebration, or Watson @ Reunion.
